Canada: PhD Position in Signal Processing and Hearing Aids at University of Ottawa

A doctoral position (Ph.D.) is available to work on Intelligent Signal Processing for Environment- Sensitive Hearing Aid Device. The project is supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and Siemens Audiologische Tecknik GmbH. The Ph.D. researcher will join the Signal Processing Oriented Technology group (http://www.site. uOttawa.ca/ research/ spot) working with researchers from the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. Applicants must possess an M.S. degree and strong academic record. Knowledge of some of the following topics is required: intelligent classification of environment, understanding of hearing aid technology, advanced signal processing including signal enhancement, blind signal separation, signal de-noising. Good oral and written English skills are required.

This position is open to citizens of any nationality, but preference will be given to citizens and permanent residents of Canada. The starting date is as soon as possible. The position remains open until a suitable candidate is found.
