CALL FOR PAPERS

SAfE – Security Architecture for Europe is a project conceived and run by the CIPI Foundation to stimulate consensus-building and strategic thinking in the European defence, intelligence and security sectors.

The Editor invites experts, practitioners and academics interested in defence, security and intelligence fields to participate with written contributions to the SAfE Project.

Papers will be published in a quarterly collection by the CIPI Foundation and will be presented at the main conferences and events of the SAfE Project.

Deadlines
Deadline for abstracts: 30 August 2007 (200 words)
Deadline for receiving the selected papers: 22 September 2007 (3.000-4.000 words)

For the publication of issue 1 we are interested in papers that tackle the theme:

Are There New Security Enclosures? Clarifying Security Concepts and Boundaries
Old and new stakeholders are challenged to update and adapt their engagement in the ever-changing security environment. Are new parameters and operational methods needed? How this affects security concepts and boundaries?

The aim of the first issue is to discuss a possible re-definition of the European security concept, structures, main challenges and its governance.
