The International Diploma Programs (IDPs) are graduate-level courses of study that offer comprehensive business training in less time than an M.B.A. program. Each year, the International Diploma Programs welcome nearly 300 bright and ambitious students from more than 35 different countries.
As part of UC Berkeley, the IDPs leverage the power of the world's leading public university. Courses and programs are reviewed by Berkeley academic departments to ensure they meet the university's high standards. Courses are taught by working professionals, so you learn the most current business practices used in your field. Instructors have an average of 20 years' experience in the business world, and many have owned their own companies and provided business consulting for multinational enterprises.
IDP students are:
a.. Ages 23 to 60, averaging 25 to 35
b.. Young professionals interested in quickly obtaining comprehensive, practical training
c.. Experienced managers who need to update their skills in a new field due to a job change or promotion
d.. Recent university graduates preparing to attend an M.B.A. program in the U.S. or their home country
e.. Employees in a family-owned business planning to take on additional management responsibilities
We offer three study options:
a.. The IDP: Receive a certificate in four months. Study business administration, finance, international business, marketing, or project management.
b.. Internship: Get 4 months of work experience after your IDP.
c.. Management and Business Track (MBT): Complete a core IDP, a concentration IDP, and an internship in only 12 months.
Eight months of study and four months of work experience (12 months)
