Hiram College Global Scholarship Program

Because of our commitment to a diverse student body, Hiram College provides financial assistance to international first year and transfer students. This assistance consists of merit-based scholarship and on-campus employment. Students, who have completed applications turned into the Office of Admission by the annual application deadline, are automatically considered for scholarship after admission to the College. The average "package" of assistance equals more than half the annual cost of tuition, room, and board at Hiram. The College does not offer full scholarships, tuition waivers, or athletic scholarships.

Hiram College Global Scholarships
International applicants are eligible for merit-based global scholarships. These scholarships are competitive, range from $3,000 to $21,000 per year, and are renewable annually for up to four years of study. There is no need to apply for them as candidates are chosen during the decision process and the awards are given with the admission decision.

To be considered, a completed application for admission must be received by the application deadline (it was February 1 in 2008). There is no separate scholarship application. The application for admission serves for both. The admission and scholarship committees evaluate each student's file in its entirety. This review includes academic preparation and performance, standardized test scores, class rank, teacher recommendations, and personal essay, with the strongest emphasis placed on academic performance.
