Faculty of Humanities

Fully funded sponsored PhD studentship are available to candidates. Each of the studentships is available for three years full-time study and provides a substantial bursary. Candidates should hold a good first degree (First Class, Upper-Second Class or equivalent) in a relevant subject area.

We would welcome applications from suitable qualified candidates to study in the Faculty of Humanities.

Faculty of Humanities Research Centres:

Adaptation Studies: literature to screen; screen to literature; adaptations of popular and/or canonical texts; adaptations & intertextuality.

Music, Technology and Innovation: new creative methods in digital music; electroacoustic music analysis; innovative pedagogical approaches; subjects related to electroacoustic music studies

Sports History and Culture: nineteenth or twentieth century sports history

Textual Scholarship: editorial projects; electronic textual scholarship; periodical studies

Applications are welcome from citizens from the EU and those with overseas status.
