The position will be part of a project funded by the Norwegian research council aimed at investigating geodynamic aspects of the life cycle of a subduction zone. The project will use and develop numerical models to study the evolution of subduction, terrane accretion and collision. Collaborations with national and international institutes is expected, such as through the EU Network Crust-to-Core (www.c2c-rtn.eu) that focuses on the role of mineralogy and rheology in subduction zones.
