Chapman University, founded in 1861 and based in the city of Orange, is one of the oldest, most prestigious private universities in California. The mission of Chapman University is to provide its 6,000 students with a personalized education of distinction that leads to inquiring, ethical and productive lives as global citizens.
Known for its blend of liberal arts and professional programs, the university is comprised of seven schools and colleges: the George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics, College of Educational Studies, College of Performing Arts, Lawrence and Kristina Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, Schmid College of Science, Wilkinson College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the School of Law. Scholarships:
Non-need merit based scholarships are available to high achieving international students. Merit scholarships are awarded according to a student's academic performance on grades, test scores and curriculum. Scholarships range from approximately $2,000 to over $20,000 a year and are renewable for the entire course of study at Chapman University.
International Students should submit:
• The Common Application, Chapman Supplement, and any necessary Departmental
Applications (art, film, dance, music and theatre majors only)
• $55 Application Fee
• TOEFL exam (minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test, or 80 on iBT) OR IELTS (score of 6.5 or higher) for citizens of non English speaking countries.
• SAT scores
• All official transcripts (with an English translation, if necessary)
• Recommendation
• Financial Certification and supporting documentation
