UNDP, as the Secretariat of the Donor Coordination Forum (DCF), is currently looking for an Intern to assist in the Donor Mapping Exercise, planned to be completed by the end of March 2008. The incumbent will provide analytical and technical support in the preparation and finalization of the Donor Mapping Report and corresponding Database/Website.
1. Function: Information gathering and analysis, report writing - Assists in gathering, analyzing and consolidating information necessary for the development of the Donor Mapping Report and participates in the writing and production process. Provides support in entering and analyzing project details for the Donor Mapping Database. Participates in field travel as and when necessary.
2. Function: Development of the Donor Mapping Website and Database - Assists in upgrading the Donor Mapping Website and Database to be a more dynamic, user-friendly, all-purpose tool in donor coordination.
3. Function: Supports the Donor Coordination Forum Secretariat - Supports the DCF Secretariat in the organization and follow up of the Forum's meetings and provides input to regular progress reports on the Donor Mapping Exercise.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in political science, social science or economics. Some experience carrying out research projects, writing substantive reports, and organizing meetings, interviews and other events. Excellent communication and writing skills in English (at academic level). Knowledge of local language is an asset.
