Environmental Processes and Change
The members of the group undertake research into pure and applied aspects of physical geography, focusing on environmental reconstruction, coastal geomorphology, climate science, fluvial science, soil degradation, degradation of heritage materials and the monitoring and assessment of environmental hazards. The group have a strong research presence in the fields of environmental monitoring, analysis and management.

Applicants are expected to have a good first degree (minimum upper second class Honours degree or equivalent) and ideally a Masters (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area. For non-Masters students, a programme of accredited research training is compulsory during the first year of study.

Funding Notes
Tuition fees will be available for three years, full-time study (approximately £3,440 per year). Students will have to fund their own maintenance during this period of study.
