Post doc at the Department of Border Region Studies, University of Southern Denmark

The Department of Border Region Studies (IFG), University of Southern Denmark invites for applications for a 3 year position as post doc in Business Administration. The position is located in Sønderborg. Expected starting date is 1 November 2010.

The Department’s research group in Business Administration focuses in particular on International Marketing, Strategic Management, Business Relations, Entrepreneurship and Cross Border Studies - with a comparative view on enterprises in an international environment. The candidate should be prepared to teach and supervise in the above mentioned areas at all levels.

The successful candidate has to document active involvement in international research networks and is expected to contribute to the promotion of the Department of Border Region Studies’ research and teaching environment. The IFG welcomes candidates with experiences in organising conferences and seminars as well as editing of journals.

Minimum requirements for the position at post doc level are a PhD in Business Administration, a specialisation in the research areas mentioned above and documented teaching experience at university level. Additional work experience in international companies within the fields of marketing and export would also be relevant for the position. The successful candidate is expected to teach in English. In addition, mastering communication in Danish is expected at the end of the first year of appointment.

Appointment to the position will be in accordance with the salary agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations and in accordance with the job description for instructors and academic personnel at institutions of higher education.

Applicants should submit their application before the closing date together with a 1) a detailed CV, 2) teaching portfolio, 3) publication list indicating which publications are most relevant for the position, 4) three copies of the three most relevant publications (up to 10 publications), 5) academic diplomas, 6) a covering letter indicating clearly how the candidate meets the selection criteria for the post outlined above, and 7) a list of all enclosures.
