The Bard Graduate Center announces a post-doctoral fellowship for the academic year 2007-08. The BGC is a graduate institute affiliated with Bard College committed to the encyclopedic study of things in their historical context, drawing on methodologies and approaches from art and design history, economic and cultural history, philosophy and anthropology. Successful candidates, from any rank and any of these disciplines, will be expected to contribute to the intellectual life of the institute by doing their own research, participating in seminars and presenting their own work. The position comes with a stipend of $35,000 and free housing in midtown Manhattan.
