Post Doc position at the Department of Computer Science

One Post Doc position is offered in the area of ICT and learning at the Department of Information and Computer Science, Faculty of Information Technology, Mathematics and Electrical Engineering, The Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

The position is within the context of FABULA, a NFR-financed project that involves the Department of Information and Computer Science, the Department of Telematics, and the Centre for Learning with ICT (LIKT) at NTNU.

The project aims to develop novel principles and technical solutions for learning enabled by seamless roaming in mobile networks, with focus on services that foster the city learning geographies and ecologies and enable new relationships among learners and communities. The project goals include the development of a conceptual framework to support design and evaluation of innovative learning services as well as the creation of a framework for the rapid development of learning services and a service oriented delivery platform that supports their dynamic deployment adaptation. The candidate is expected to contribute to the start-up phase of the project, working in close cooperation with the actors involved in the project.
The fellowship is for 1 year. A PhD or equivalent qualification on topics relevant to the project is required. Preferential title is a background in Computer Supported Cooperative Learning and/or in mobile services. Previous experience in project management and/or participation to multidisciplinary projects is highly appreciated.

The appointment is at code 1352, salary level 54-77 in the national salary scheme, gross NOK 389 400- 604 900 per annum, of which 2% is deducted for the State Pension scheme.The position is remunerated according to the national salary scheme with a starting salary expected to be at level 55, gross salary NOK 396.500, per year. The salary might be adjusted, after negotiation with the employer, to reflect applicant’s experience.

The successful applicant must agree to the conditions laid down for public employees. Residence is required.
