The Department of Turkish & Modern Asian Studies, University of Athens will recruit five (5) faculty members in the following areas of specialization:
1. Turkey: Civilization and Society (Rank: Reader or Senior Lecturer)
2. Modern & Contemporary History of Central Asian Peoples (Rank: Reader or Senior Lecturer)
3. Linguistics: Typology of Asian Languages (Rank: Senior Lecturer or Lecturer)
4. Turkish Language and Literature (Rank: Senior Lecturer or Lecturer)
5. Turkey & the Middle East (Rank: Lecturer)
Candidates should be EU citizens and hold a PhD in a topic relevant to an area of specialization. They should also demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship.
Greek is the language of instruction at the University of Athens, so fluency in Greek is also required.
