American Antiquarian Society, Mellon Post-Dissertation Fellowship
The purpose of the fellowship is to provide the recipient with time and resources to extend research and/or to revise the dissertation for publication. Any topic relevant to the Society's library collections and programmatic scope --that is, American history and culture through 1876 -- is eligible
Areas of Study: Humanities. Social Sciences. All fields relating to American history and culture through 1876.
Level of Study: postdoctoral
Open to Students from: any country
Average Award Amount: Stipend of $30,000 for one year
Award Duration: 1 year

Eligibility Requirements:
Applicatnts must have received the PhD within the last 3 years. Semifinalists will be asked to submit on very short notice, one copy of entire completed dissertation or the latest draft.
