USA: Leakey Foundation Research Grants in Anthropology

The Leakey Foundation Research Grants

General Research Grants are awarded twice annually and constitute the majority of the Foundation's grant program. Priority for funding is given to the exploratory phases of promising new research projects that meet the stated purpose of the Foundation. The relevance of the project to understanding human origins must be explicit throughout your application. The Leakey Foundation was formed to further research into human origins. Recent priorities include research into the environment, archeology, and human paleontology; into the behavior, morphology, and ecology of the great apes and other primate species; and into the behavioral ecology of contemporary hunter-gatherers. Other areas of study are rarely considered
