We invite all young researchers (PhD candidates and PhD academics) to contribute to an exciting Europe-wide debate on the future of Europe, submitting papers on the trends, possible scenarios and the changing context of the values guiding these processes.
The articles shall focus on one of the three themes:
Analysing demography and predicting the development of European Society during the next decade
Social Realities and political needs of European Society during the next ten years
Evolution of values and culture of European Society in the decade that follows
All the articles should be submitted in English. They must not exceed 10 pages in length when written in Times New Roman font 12 with line spacing of 1.5. References to the existing academic studies in the field are compulsory, and shall be marked both in the footnotes and in a standard bibliography at the end of the text (which is not counted in the total content of 10 pages). Authors are also requested to attach a short biography note, which includes their academic experience and record of previous research, as well as an official photo.
Contributions should be submitted no later than 15th November 2009 to Ania.Skrzypek@ feps-europe. eu. The authors of articles selected for publication will be duly informed and invited to present their findings in Brussels at a joint event held together with the FEPS Research Group. Following the first publication, FEPS will also offer a possibility for the authors to contract themselves for the second publication. The cycle foresees three publications in total.
Further details on the themes of the articles can be found on the FEPS website. However, for any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact Dr Ania Skrzypek, FEPS Policy Advisor, at the address given above.
