There is an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in the Cell Mechanobiology and Engineering Laboratory of the University of Kentucky Center for Biomedical Engineering. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be expected to work as part of a team investigating vascular cell mechanotransduction as it relates to physiological and pathological conditions with particular focus on the mechanobiological regulation of leukocyte activation by hemodynamics- related fluid mechanical stresses.

The project is highly interdisciplinary in nature and involves utilization of cell biomechanics approaches in conjunction with cellular and molecular biological techniques.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have an earned PhD in bioengineering/ biomedical engineering, cell/molecular biology, or a closely related field. It is highly recommended that candidates have practical experience in basic cell biological technique and some, or at least the ability to acquire an, understanding of biomechanics principles.
