PHD position: Plant Oxidative Stress Responses under Climate Change Conditions, University of Antwerp, Belgium

Deadline: 01 November 2009

A PhD position is available in the field of Molecular Plant Physiology and Biotechnology, to study the effect of changing climate conditions (elevated CO2 and temperature) on stress responses in grassland species. In a first approach we will analyze oxidative stress parameters (molecular antioxidants, antioxidant enzymes) of field grown plants under various stress conditions (e.g. drought, nitrogen deficiency, metal pollution).

Interested candidates should have a degree in Biosciences and have a proven affinity for biochemical and enzymatic analyses. More information: Prof. Dr. Han Asard at (han.asard@ua.ac.be).
