Position for a Post-Doc (Freiburg)

A position for a Post-Doc (E13 TVL) is available at the Institute for Medical Microbiology and Hygiene, Department Microbiology and Hygiene, University Hospital Freiburg (Prof. Georg Hecker). The position is initially available for two years. The project will be concerned with the analysis of factors of pathogenicity of Chlamydia; in particular, aspects of cell biology, biochemistry and immunology of chlamydial infection, and the pathogenic relevance of a chlamydial protease will be investigated.

Our laboratory has just moved from Munich to Freiburg. Our work is focussed on intracellular signalling in host defence, especially apoptosis. We are looking for a motivated colleague, if possible with a background in cell biology/microbiology/immunology to join our still fairly young team of researchers.
