16 PhD Fellowships in Life Sciences

The NRW Research School CEDAD and the International Max Planck Research School IMPRS-MBM are jointly run by the University of Münster and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine. The Ph.D. program offers excellent research and teaching in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences with a strong emphasis on Imaging.

PhD Program Cell Dynamics and Disease / Molecular Biomedicine
Münster’s Graduate Program on Cell Dynamics and Disease (CEDAD) offers cutting edge science together with the newly founded International Max Planck Research School – Molecular Biomedicine (IMPRS-MBM).

CEDAD and IMPRS-MBM - jointly run by the University of Münster and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine - offer integrative approaches to biomedical research with a strong emphasis on imaging.

Our 3-year PhD projects range from studying molecular mechanisms of basic cellular processes to the analysis of the molecular basis of inflammatory and vascular diseases.

We offer outstanding research in high-profile laboratories as well as excellent scientific and "soft-skill" training aimed to strengthen the PhD students’ competences for their future careers. Students will receive a tax-free fellowship of 1365-1400 € per month. We also offer support with visas, accommodation and administrative matters.

IMPRS-MBM and CEDAD are open for highly qualified and motivated students of any nationality. We also encourage students who have obtained a Master’s degree at Münster University to apply for a IMPRS-MBM / CEDAD fellowship.

The next term will commence in October 2009.
