ARCH_EO - POST GRADUATE COURSE (master di secondo livello)
Architecture for Archaeology and Archaeology for Architecture. Excavation sites, Design and Exhibition Design in Archaeological Areas

Professors in Charge: prof. arch. Lucio Barbera, prof.ssa Clementina Panella.

Coordinator: dott.ssa Claudia Cecamore.

The Master aims to build up a common language between the disciplines of architecture and archaeology, so that professionals in these fields can work better together.

The course is 1 year long, divided in two semesters.

The curriculum attempts to engage, in the first semester, a theoretical approach organized into two sections:

- Architects approach archaeological themes and methods

- Archaeologists acquire some basic instruments to evaluate a design process.

In the second semester the two groups will together further their knowledge concerning the development and enjoyment of the Archaeological Heritage within a “Design Workshop” based on archaeological sites and areas of different typology suggested for the final examination by the institutions involved.

Rome and its territory in ancient times will be the focus for the course.

Deadline for applications : November 15th 2006.

Enrolment fee: euro 4000.
