JOB: Associate Professor in Social Anthropology (University of Bergen, Norway)

Applications are invited for a tenured position at the rank of Associate Professor in Social Anthropology at the Department of Social Anthropology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Bergen.

For this position is required a Norwegian doctorate or an equivalent PhD-grade from abroad. The applicants must document ability to publish their research in the field of Anthropology in internationally recognized publications.

Basic teaching qualifications are required. The appointee to this position will be offered appropriate pedagogical training if this requirement has not been met previous to appointment.

The initial annual salary for this position is NOK 403,700 (level 56 on the state salary scale - code 1011). A higher salary may be negotiated for especially well-qualified applicants.
