The International MBA is a comprehensive MBA with a global focus. Designed for today's competitive business world, the program features an internationalized core curriculum, a significant internship with a global company, choice of a focus on the language and culture of a particular part of the world, or a global or European focus. The Professional MBA is a comprehensive MBA designed for the working professional. The program features evening classes (6-8 p.m.) and some Saturdays, over 20 locations throughout South Carolina (coming to Charlotte, NC this fall), and delayed streaming video for traveling professionals. Students in this program can earn an MBA from a top-ranked, AACSB accredited program in 28 months or less. More about the Professional MBA.
The Executive International MBA is offered jointly by the Moore School of Business and the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Guadalajara, Mexico. The 20-month program is aimed at senior Mexican managers in their 30s and 40s who continue to work while earning their degrees. The class members earn two degrees: an EIMBA from the University of South Carolina, and a Meastria en Administracion from Tec de Monterrey. More about the Executive International MBA.
Fellowships
Fellowships are highly competitive and are awarded to incoming master's students with outstanding academic and/or professional accomplishments. Selection criteria include leadership potential based on community service and extracurricular activities, GMAT scores (GRE for MHR and MA Economics), academic background, and work experience.
Fellowship interviews will be held in Columbia, SC, in February (November for the IMBA European program). Finalists are invited to the USC campus to meet with current faculty, staff, and students while interviewing for fellowships.
a.. The Darla Moore Fellowship Program, established in 2000, provides $20,000 ($10,000 per year for two years) to incoming master’s students. Annually, there are 35 Darla Moore Fellowships available to entering students.
b.. The Fluor Daniel International Business Fellowship of $30,000 ($15,000 per year for two years) is awarded yearly to an entering IMBA student.
c.. The BMW Manufacturing Corp. International Business Fellowships, two of $25,000 each ($12,500 per year for two years), is awarded yearly to entering IMBA students.
d.. The Peace Corps Fellows/USA Program provides $20,000 ($10,000 per year for two years) and is awarded yearly to one or two entering IMBA students. IMBA students are also eligible for the following fellowships:
a.. Cantey Memorial Fellowship - $6,000/Year - $12,000 Total
b.. Calhoun Hipp Memorial Fellowship - $9,000/Year - $18,000 Total
c.. Francis Hipp Memorial Fellowship - $8,000/Year - $16,000 Total
d.. Herman Hipp Memorial Fellowship - $8,000/Year – $16,000 Total
e.. Liberty Fellows (2) - $5,.000/Year - $10,000 Total
f.. Wachovia Fund for Excellence Fellowship - $3,500/Year - $7,000 Total
g.. SCANA/Sonat Fellowship - $2,000/Year - $4,000 Total
