You will work on the ESRC-funded project Institutional Trust and Health Care Reform under the direction of Professor Peter Taylor-Gooby. The main task will be to arrange carry out and analyse material from forty-eight discursive interviews with members of the public, to investigate the basis of trust in the NHS as a public
service, the role of various rational and non-rational factors in contributing to it, perceptions of current reforms and of their impact on services, and the relation between understanding of the current reform agenda and trust in the service. Other related duties will be agreed as appropriate.
Candidates for the post should have a degree and preferably an MA/MSc in a relevant social science discipline.
