Industrially-Funded PhD Studentships, School of Mechanical, Materials & Manufacturing Engineering

The School is seeking outstanding students to fill a number of research studentships by September 2007, funded by global engineering companies. Research areas include:

- Metal foams for turbo-machinery applications.
- Cold gas dynamic spraying of alloys.
- Automated micro-manufacturing methods.
- Shaped metal deposition modelling for aeroengine components.

These studentships provide a tax-free stipend of £14,000 per annum. Due to funding restrictions, tuition fees will be paid for UK/EU students, but not for international students.
