The International School of Economics in Tbilisi, Georgia (ISET) is currently recruiting applicants from countries in the region for its Master's Degree in Economics. The program has international funding from BP, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Open Society Institute, the Swedish Agency for International Development Cooperation (Sida) and The World Bank.
Admission applications are due by April 30, 2008 for study beginning in September 2008.
Any student who is expected to complete a bachelor's degree before September 2008 is eligible to apply. Students who are successful at ISET include mathematicians, computer science majors, physicists, engineers, business and economics majors, MBAs, and others. Strong math ability is recommended.
The School teaches economics on the international- level— preparing students for analytical decision-making using data, mathematical tools, and modeling techniques. ISET students prepare for a variety of careers in international organizations, government, business, and think tanks, and for Ph.D. study abroad. Housed in a newly renovated seven-story building, ISET offers students a Western-style education in a
Western-style facility.
Admissions, Financial Aid, and Housing for Students from Azerbaijan:
The full cost of the program is $8000/academic year, but FULL SCHOLARSHIPS, including housing support and a living stipend are available to Azerbaijani citizens. Admissions exams and interviews will be held in Baku in early May.
