Comment by faculty speaker Lesley Abdela: advances in implementation of UNSCR1325 and the equally valuable European Parliament resolution are taking place at grass-roots and intermediate levels but failing significantly at senior levels, notably among Foreign Ministers and many IGO heads of programmes.

The program will emphasize ways to close gaps in implementation and consider -

The Salzburg Global Organisation engages in targeted outreach and seeks to engage a significant number of participants from the policy arena and those in a position to help advance Peace-Making and Peace-Building: Securing the Contributions of Women and Civil Society in and through their own institutions.

Please note it is hoped organizations will be able to pay full or partial costs (full cost is 3,300 Euro for the program, excluding travel). In cases of financial need, Salzburg Global Seminar will do its best to provide support to enable people to attend.
