Grinnell College, one of the top ranking institutions in the United States, is small, liberal arts college of 1,500 undergraduates hailing from all the states and about 50 countries. Located in Grinnell, Iowa, a small rural town recently voted one of the "100 Best Small Towns in America," students enjoy a student/faculty ratio of 8:1. Grinnel's most distinguished programs include its Center for International Studies, Peace Studies Program, and the Donald L. Wilson Program in Enterprise and Leadership.
Each year, Grinnell offers grants, merit scholarships, "special scholarships, " loans and work-study to international students. Students do not have to demonstrate financial need to be eligible for the merit.
Admitted students who demonstrate exceptional academic and leadership abilities are considered for the merit scholarships. The special scholarships are limited in number and highly competitive.
The scholarships cover all costs associated with studying at Grinnell that the student's family cannot afford.
Eligible students must be from a specific country or region – see below. The scholarships are renewable for each year of study.
