Goal
to combine innovative and established concepts for probabilistic wind energy production forecasts with 0.5 to 10 days lead time
Awarded degree
PhD in Atmospheric Science
Qualifications:
degree in atmospheric science, meteorology, mathematics, statistics, physics or related fields
independence and problem-solving skills
overly-developed curiosity
strong scientific computing skills
excellent communication and social interaction skills (at least for one
of the positions, which requires intensive contact with wind energy companies)
Funding
initially 3 years through the Translational Research Program of the Austrian Science Foundation
75% of full time salary (approx: 1.8 k€ per month gross income)
