CfP: Implications of the Global Economic Crisis, Bucharest, 22-23.5.2009

NATIONAL SCHOOL OF POLITICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE STUDIES (SNSPA)3rd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE22- 23 May 2009, Bucharest, RomaniaCall for papers

IMPLICATIONS OF THE GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS
The current global economic crisis has changed the economic and political landscape. It shaped policy decisions, it brought recession in major economies, but most important it challenged capitalism, the way we knew it, as market failures required massive state interventions in US and EU.

The 3rd International Conference of SNSPA, a leading university in Romania, focuses on the implications of the global economic crisis in international relations, political science, public administration, and mass communication – which are the main academic and research areas of SNSPA.

The conference is structured around four tracks: 1. Shaping new international economic relations: investment, trade, monetary, fiscal, competition and institutional implications. 2. Politics and economic crisis: a weaker economy creates a stronger state? A parallel workshop on the impact of the crisis on anti-semitism will be organized under this track. 3. Public administration in the context of the global crisis: challenges and solutions, public management, legislative harmonization. 4. Research, innovation and quality through communication. Policies and strategies during the global crisis.

The deadline for full paper submissions is Tuesday March 31st, 2009. Authors of the accepted papers will be notified by Wednesday April 15th, 2009. Conference proceedings will be published.

Papers should be around 4500 words in lenght. Papers can be submitted in English, French, or Romanian. Please provide the full names, affiliations, mailing addresses, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail addresses of all authors, indicating the contact author.
