I just wanted to drop you a note to see whether you had any friends or colleagues interested in applying fro the Summer 2009 Hansard/ Chevening Research Scholars Programme (May 16th-August 1st).
As you will be aware, the Programme is an intensive 11-week course during which participants study British politics at the London School of Economics and undertake a placement in the UK Parliament, a government department, an NGO, lobbying group or media organisation. There are a limited number of UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office Chevening scholarships offered for the Programme which include: full programme fees (including accommodation, London transport, tuition, political and cultural visits etc) as well as travel and visa expenses, and a stipend to cover reasonable daily expenses.
