A postdoctoral research associate position is available at the Division of Bioinformatics and Outcomes Research (BIOR), of the Department of Radiation Oncology, Washington University. The specific project will involve working on data mining and modeling of biological and physical data, analysis of medical images, and numerical optimization for application in radiotherapy treatment informatics. The position offers the opportunity to work in a world-class research environment, with state-of-the- art facilities and with strong collaboration with many researchers from diverse fields. This position will have the opportunities to learn, develop, and translate new imaging techniques for various biomedical and clinical applications.
Opportunities exist in many current and new exciting projects, including computational modeling of biological processes and treatment outcomes, analysis of biomarkers in different cancer sites, as well as projects involving 4D image guidance and treatment planning optimization.

Qualifications:
A PhD or equivalent degree in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Medical Physics, Computer Science, Biochemistry or related discipline is required. Good programming skills are important for this position preferably in Matlab or C/C++. Screening of applicants is open until the position is filled.
