The Festival is located in Sibiu, Romania. It offers a variety of programmes besides the INTERNATIONAL, EUROPE, ROMANIA, and STUDENT Competitions, such as theme sections, special programmes, portraits of famous documentary filmmakers, debates, and workshops for young filmmakers. The next ASTRA FILM FESTIVAL takes place between 26th October and 1st November 2009, and it is the 10th (jubilee) edition.
