PhD/ Doctoral Position (Biochemical engineering/ Biology/ biochemistry) at Saarland Univ Germany

We look for 2 PhD students interested in the areas of systems biology and mammalian cell cultivation. We are coordinating a large scale European project on "Predicting long term toxic effects using computer models based on systems characterization of organotypic cultures NOTOX".

Project DescriptionInvolved in this project are opportunities to carry out some of the work in top partner research institutes (e.g. Karolinska Institute, Stockholm; The Netherland Cancer Institute, Amsterdam; CNRS, Strasbourg; IFADO, Dortmund; INRIA, Paris). Interested students
should have a solid background in biochemical engineering, biology and biochemistry (Master or Diploma). We prefer students with experience in instrumental analytics (HPLC, GC, MS), particularly metabolome analysis, mammalian cell culture or metabolic network modelling.
