One postdoctoral position is available immediately to study molecular mechanisms of atherosclerosis and metabolic disorders including obesity and diabetes at Cardiovascular Research Center, Graduate Center for Nutritional Sciences, University of Kentucky College of Medicine (http://www.mc.uky.edu/cvrc). Small laboratory animal models, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques are the main research approaches for these studies. Candidates should have a doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry or related field, and strong background in animal models, molecular and cell biology. Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team is essential. Experience with laboratory rodent or molecular biology is preferred.
