The Belgian Science Policy Office is now launching the second call for proposals of the "Society and Future" research programme in the field of social sciences. The programme was introduced in 2005 and is open to the participation of researchers from outside Belgium (when integrated in a network with a Belgian co-ordinatior).
The aim of the programme is to increase the knowledge needed for decision-making at
the Belgian federal level. Researchers are invited to work out transversal proposals. In general, one can consider that a research project will need two researchers over a period of two to three years, which corresponds to a budget of 300.000 E to 450.000 E. Four-year projects are not excluded.
