The School of History invites applications from suitably qualified students wishing to undertake PhD research in any area of our expertise. We offer the following funding opportunities:
For Home/EU Students only
• School of History PhD Studentship - Covers fees and maintenance at AHRC level.
This studentship is available from 1 April 2007. The award is conditional upon the student submitting an AHRC application through the School. Closing date: 6 February 2007.
• School of History PhD Fees-Only Studentship - Covers 100% of tuition fees only.
• School of History PhD 50% Fees-Only Studentship - Covers 50% of tuition fees only.
These studentships are available from the start of the academic year 2007/08. The award is conditional upon the student submitting an AHRC application through the School. Closing date: 6 February 2007.
For International Students only
• School of History North American Bursary - Covers 50% of fees (US/Canadian students).
• School of History International Bursary - Covers 50% of fees (all overseas students).
• A total of 12 x University PhD Scholarships for International students (classified as 'overseas' for fees purposes).
• 7 for new students registering in any subject area.
• 5 for University of Nottingham alumnus students registering in any subject area.
