FACOLTÀ DI SCIENZE POLITICHE

The specific objective of the Master program is the

qualification of the human resources, the professional

formation and the pursuit of innovative actions of social

promotion and economic development, through

the promotion of the local development and the cooperation

in the Adriatic region.

The Master will qualify and improve the value of the

human resources involved in the processes of cooperation

to the local development, with particular attention

to the tied up local economic activities, the typical

production and the sustainable tourism in the

Adriatic-Ionian region. The course will furnish a specific

formation in the field of the socio-economic and

environmental studies, on the themes of the sustainable

development and the local development.

A further objective is the professional retraining of

the many young graduated in the field of the human

and social sciences - to a large extent women - who

hardly have access to the local labour market. The latter

asks for necessary technical competences to manage

and coordinate the processes of local territorial

development. Therefore, the master aims at shaping

professional managers of the local development, able

to work at the international level for the promotion

and the exploitation of the Adriatic-Ionian region.

Besides, the Master aims at re-training the professionals

and officials that already work in public and private

structures, with the purpose to improve the processes

of local development and the cooperation

among the countries of the two coasts.

EXPECTED RESULTS

The master will guarantee to the students the acquisition

of a high-level of professional competences in

the field of the sustainable local development. Such

competences will facilitate the actions of social, economic

and political reconstruction of the Adriatic-Ionian

region. Such region progressively suffers the effects

of globalization on the social integration dynamics.

The implementation of the master will facilitate

the conjunction and the coordination of actions of local

development through the cooperation activities

among the countries of the two banks. Insofar, the

master wants to be a point of reference for the processes

of spin off and innovation in enterprises and

public corporate body.

LANGUAGES

Programme activities will be in English.

EXAMS AND THESIS

1) An intermediary evaluation of the internship/individu al

research project.

2) Final thesis, to be assessed by anonymous referees.

Admission to the thesis work will be granted to those

who have been actively participated to the on-line

activities and have attended at least two over three of

the frontal courses.
