The Summer School in Investigative Journalism (SSIJ) is born with the ambition to contribute to the development of a new and innovative model of journalism oriented to the accurate and documented analysis of social and political facts.

Very rarely in Italy an observation has been developed on the instruments and peculiar characteristics of the profession of the Investigative Journalist, and this
1st Summer School on Investigative Journalism, decisively represents the first, and a very unique, initiative of this kind in Italy.

Therefore the SSIJ is articulated in ten days of workshop (working language Italian) where the students will interact together with the best Italian journalists and national and international experts. The SSIJ venue will be hosted in an Italian Medieval Farm on the Tuscany hills in the exclusive Chianti region.

The courses offered at the SSIJ will focus on the process of transfer knowledge and in the learning process of the deepening of all the methodologies related to the analysis of criminological and investigative disciplines, archival disciplines, the
analysis of the documentary sources, and the techniques of inquiry journalism aimed to "printed-news" and TV.
