Position: Research Assistant (RA)

Location: Industrial Computing Department, Faculty of Information & Communication Technology, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, Locked Bag 1200, Hang Tuah Jaya, Ayer Keroh, 75450 Melaka, Malaysia.
Project Leader: Dr. Anton Satria Prabuwono
Responsibilities:
· To apply decision making models on Failure Based Maintenance for Small and Medium Industries in Malaysia.
· To develop real-time Computerized Maintenance Management System.
(All technical specification including design of the framework, mathematical formulae & functional requirements will be given in detail through out the supervision)
Job Description:
· The RA must help the project leader in all works associated with the research.
· The RA is expected to register for a Master Degree by Research program (M.Sc.) with Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM).
· The salary will be RM1300/month (tuition fees excluded).
· The period of tenure will be 24 months (maximum).
Requirements:
A good Bachelor¢s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/ Informatics/ Electrical Engineering, or related discipline (CGPA > 3.0) and the potential to develop strong research program in the above research area. Fresh graduates with good results are encouraged to apply.
Good programming skills, particularly in VB.NET, VB6, VC++ and SQL.
Good English proficiency.
Self-motivated, requires minimal supervision, resourceful and willing to learn.
Experience using .NET in developing multi-tier application will be added advantage.
