An immediate opening is available for a jointly advised post-doctoral fellow to work on an ARRA-funded NIH project to assess the cell adhesive properties of somatic cells undergoing reprogramming to an induced pluripotent state. Primary responsibilities will be to perform viral transduction experiments of cells to induce pluripotent
reprogramming, characterize the adhesive receptor expression profile and phenotype of reprogrammed cells in vitro, and quantify the adhesive strength of cells before and after reprogramming
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in the biomedical sciences or bioengineering, and significant experience in modern cell and molecular biology techniques is required. Experience with cell transfection or transduction, flow cytometry and immunostaining, and cell biomechanics is strongly preferred.
