*Call for Applications*

The Department of International Relations at TOBB-ETU has openings for junior or senior faculty members in all fields of the discipline. PhD in Political Science, International Relations, or a related field is required at the time of appointment.

The department seeks applicants with an active research agenda and a strong publication record (or the potential to develop one). Applicants must demonstrate potential for and commitment to teach international relations courses in our undergraduate program. The primary medium of instruction is Turkish but the school offers many courses in English, as well as requiring its students to learn a second foreign language. The future Faculty members should also be ready to teach courses and supervise students in our graduate program that will be initiated in the near future.

TOBB-ETU was founded through an endowment very generously provided by the Turkish Union of Commodity Exchanges and Chambers of Commerce and Industry (shortly TOBB in Turkish). Salary is competitive and Faculty members are entitled to an annual research budget.

Applications will be reviewed as received and should be submitted by April 8, 2011. Informational interviews may take place at the 2011 Annual Convention of the International Studies Association in Montreal, Canada, March 16-19, 2011 and the Midwest Political Science Association in Chicago, USA, March 31-April 3, 2011. Those interested in informational interviews are asked to submit their application material by March 4, 2011 and schedule an
interview through the members of the admissions committee.

The application package should include a cover letter, a CV, two samples of research, description of current research agenda, a teaching statement including the list of courses the applicant has taught or can teach, three letters of recommendation and transcripts (an unofficial copy is sufficient for application) .
