Ericsson R&D Ireland are looking for experienced researchers at all levels to join our Network Management Research Centre in Athlone to shape the future of management systems based on highly autonomous, hyper-distributed systems operating on dynamic semantic models of the network environment.
This applied research group is at the forefront of industrial network management research within Ericsson and has driven numerous international research projects, produced many product innovations, standardization contributions, world class publications and created a large portfolio of high value patents.
Candidates should have extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:
� Distributed computing and middleware technologies (SOA, Web Services)
� Knowledge and modeling engineering (UML, Ontologies, BPMN, MDA)
� Network engineering (Core, Radio, WiMAX, UWB, Ad-hoc)
We are looking for experienced researchers, to be contracted for 24 months as part of the Marie Curie Transfer of Knowledge �Distorm� project, and for permanent employees to enhance our existing research teams and programs.
Candidates should be capable of independent research, supporting and mentoring other researchers and students, and contributing to the research and innovation program of Ericsson globally.
Applications are invited from Researchers with a PhD in a related discipline, or at least 4 years of research experience since gaining a university diploma giving them access to doctoral studies.
Fellowships are available regardless of nationality. Eligible candidates must have spent 4 of the last 5 years outside of Ireland.
