We are seeking paper submissions from younger scholars who work on Romania and/or Romania in comparative perspective (ABD doctoral students or those who have received their Ph.D. in the past 7 years), be they residents in the United States or in Romania. Applicants should send a title and short abstract (250 words), as well as a

The deadline for receipt of abstracts is December 1, 2006. Those selected to participate in the conference will receive funding to cover their travel and lodging costs at the
