BA (Hons) in Architecture & BA (Hons) in Landscape

BA (Hons) in Architecture & BA (Hons) in Landscape: A Professional Focus

Introduction

BA (Hons) in Architecture
Innovative programmes in Architecture and Landscape are offered by Azad University in collaboration with Kingston University - London. The first year of the various programmes is run on the premises of Azad University. On successful completion of the first year, students will be awarded a Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE)
in Architecture. The certificate is designed to introduce students to a range and level of study necessary to transfer onto the second year of the Bachelors programme in Architecture or one of the other spatial design programs offered by Kingston University. The Certificate is centred on design, reflecting the course's context within an art and design-based faculty as well as enhancing the ethos that could be summarised as 'thinking through making'.Distinctive programmes are available as follows:

BA (Hons) Architecture
BA (Hons) Landscape Architecture
BA (Hons) Landscape Planning
BA (Hons) Landscape with Geographical Information Systems

Students should achieve the minimum of 6.0 on the IELTS exam so as to allow them to enter the first year of their degree study. Studio projects are an integral element of the year and students will engage in a wide range of increasingly complex architectural and spatial problems, equipping them with the skills needed to tackle
design problems in the built environment. The BA (Hons) degree is awarded by Kingston University.

The course is accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). By the time you have completed the undergraduate degree, you will automatically have gained RIBA Part 1 exemption, which is the first step on the road to becoming a professional architect. RIBA exists to advance architecture and promote excellence within the profession.
