Dear Sir and Madam,
I would like to present you the European project “Borderliner” where we are looking for some partner organisations. We are planning to apply for the 1st February announcement. The project takes place from 12th till 17th of May.
Here is a short summary of the project:
The project “Borderliner – an intercultural seminar on different perspectives of borders”, that takes place in Passau for six days, focuses on the different cognition’s of borders in a personal and public perception.
It was developed for young people and youth trainers (age between 18 and 30) from the countries Czech Republic, Austria, Romania, Estonia, Sweden and Germany.
In our daily life we all have to deal with borders. Some are made by us others we just accept. Most of the misunderstandings, stereotypes or even racism is starting by drawing up a border somewhere in our head. You can even say that our whole life is automatically or consciously influenced by borders in a specific way.
This seminar wants to shed a light on various aspects of demarcation. Based on expert lectures the participants shall question the sense of administrative and cultural borders and ask for their development in the next years next to discovering their own physical and mental barriers. Finally a simulation game and two days of reporting assemble the gained knowledge.
I also attached the schedule and the application for the project. The partner countries will have to send 5 participants.
Looking forward to hear from you!
Best regards, Jessica Stubenrauch
