Maastricht Summer School in Governance & Social Protection

The Maastricht Graduate School of Governance invites you to participate in its international research related and policy oriented Summer School in Governance and Social Protection. The Summer School is organized bi-annually and is part of the European Graduate Programme in Social Protection Policy ESPP. This PhD programme trains young researchers in social protection and social policy in a European and multidisciplinary perspective by pooling the resources of eleven top research institutes in nine European Union countries.

The objective of the Summer School is to bring together a large number of junior researchers and PhD students with senior researchers to study state-of-the- art theory and empirics of a selected subject related to governance and social protection and to develop academic skills and methods. A selected number of junior researchers have the opportunity to present their work and receive feedback from the audience.

Participants of the Summer School are the researchers of the ESPP programme and members of the ESPP network. In addition, interested researchers and practitioners with a master degree and interest in Social Protection Policy are welcome to participate.
