On behalf of the Programs in Sustainable International Development (SID) at Brandeis University, I would like to sincerely wish you a happy, safe and peaceful 2008. As it always has, a new year presents numerous challenges to people, programs and organizations who seek to end poverty, increase access to health and economic resources, and to improve the lives of people all over the world who are in vulnerable situations.
Here at SID, we provide training to the next generation of development practitioners and policy makers who will yield great influence in these areas by offering the following programs:
* Master of Arts/ in Sustainable International Development
Master of Science/ in International Health Policy and Management
I am attaching a ***scholarship competition* ** announcement for each of these programs, and requesting that you will forward them to any qualified persons seeking graduate-level training in these areas.
Although we only have one full scholarship opportunity, we offer generous financial aid packages to students who are admitted, and try to assist students in looking for outside funding opportunities to the extent possible.
I encourage you, or interested parties, to our website for a complete description of the programs as well as application and contact information. I invite anyone with questions to contact me at any time, and look forward to working with you as we seek to find the best candidates who will ultimately take on world-wide leadership roles in fields of development and health policy and management.
Best wishes,
James Sabourin, Director of Admissions
