Scientist, Life Sciences Informatics
(m/f)
Position:
As member of a Data Analysis team, the Scientist Life Sciences Informatics will support the following activities:
• Analysis of chemistry and biology data generated in the company's research projects;
• Development of new analytical methods to support the company's proprietary technologies, data and processes;
• Set-up and maintaining projects in our LIM systems;
• Development of proprietary software applications for scientific data management and analysis.
The position reports to the Group Leader Informatics.
Profile:
• PhD or M.Sc. in the Life Sciences with a strong background in (Bio-)Informatics and Statistics
• Experience in understanding, transforming and presenting scientific data
• Familiarity with lab processes (biochemistry, cell-based assays etc.)
• Proficiency in R language for data analysis and visualization
• Proficiency in at least one other programming language (Python, Java or other)
• Ability to manipulate data stored in RDMS (Oracle, MySQL)
