In August, the online magazine Science´s Next Wave (http://sciencecareers.sciencemag.org) will run a feature on the best scientific conference locations and they are calling on young scientists to submit their story and enter a prize competition.

Attending an international scientific conference doesn't just mean participating in seminars and workshops; there's also good beaches, good wine, and various extracurricular activities. Science's Next Wave is looking for stories from scientists about the best places to have a meeting.
Please send 500 words and a digital image of yourself by 31 July 2006 to:

- or to Elisabeth Pain at elisabeth.pain@absw.org.uk if are based in South and West Europe.
Our editors will review the entries, and the top 12 will be featured on Next Wave 25 August 2006. The top conference story, in the judgement of the editors, will win a new iPod, and the 3 runners-up will win a flash-memory stick. We're waiting to hear your story.
